Actsafe provides free hearing testing to motion picture and performing arts workers in occupations deemed as ‘at risk’ of a hearing injury. Any other crew members tested are the responsibility of the production.
Section 7.8 (1) of the Occupational Health & Safety Regulation states that employers must give workers exposed to noise that exceeds noise exposure limits, hearing test at least once every 12 months.
