Occupational First Aid – Level 3
OVERVIEW
Occupational First Aid Level 3 is a comprehensive 70-hour course for workplaces that require Level 3 First Aid Attendants as outlined in the OH&S regulations. Participants who attend all 70 hours of instruction and successfully complete both written and practical exams will receive certification that is valid for three years.
Learning Outcomes
This 10-day course packs in life-saving information. It covers:
- CPR and AED (CPR A – adult only)
- Patient assessment
- Critical airway & respiratory interventions with C-Spine management, including the use of suction unites,insertion of oral airways, use of oxygen therapy equipment and bag valve mask
- Circulatory interventions and management
- Small wound, soft tissue, and fracture management
- Rapid transport criteria
Completion
Completion of this course provides a WorkSafeBC OFA3 certificate valid for three years.
