Do you have 8-10+ years of experience working in BC’s motion picture, television and film industry? Do you consider yourself to have expert knowledge of BC’s health and safety regulations and best practices for reducing workplace injuries, diseases and fatalities? Do you excel in consulting and mentoring, delivering engaging presentations, collaborating on multi-agency committees, and leading strategic initiatives?

Actsafe Safety Association has just launched a new five-year strategic plan (2023–2027) with a focus on ensuring our programs and services are world-class, industry-specific, and improve health, safety, and well-being knowledge, attitudes, beliefs and behaviours to ultimately decrease the injury rate of BC’s arts and entertainment workers.

We are pleased to start recruitment for this NEW and exciting senior safety advisor role, charged with delivering occupational health & safety consulting services to employers, supervisors and workers, including outreach, advising, consulting, reviewing and developing OHS Programs and Safety Management Systems, instructing training and education, developing resources, delivering presentations, being an internal technical subject matter expert to fellow team members’ projects, and offering unique, specialized services (e.g. ergonomics, new worker, mobile equipment work platform(MEWP), etc.). 

We are looking for an experienced leader with a deep understanding of the occupational health & safety profession and the BC motion picture, film and television industry.
