Do you have 3+ years of experience working in BC’s arts and entertainment industry? Do you consider yourself to have good knowledge of BC’s health and safety regulations and best practices for reducing workplace injuries, diseases and fatalities? Do you excel in advising, instructing, training, and developing resources?
Actsafe Safety Association has just launched a new five-year strategic plan (2023–2027) with a focus on ensuring our programs and services are world-class, industry-specific, and improve health, safety, and wellbeing knowledge, attitudes, beliefs and behaviours to ultimately decrease the injury rate of BC’s arts and entertainment workers.
We are pleased to start recruitment for this NEW and exciting occupational health and safety generalist role, charged with delivering occupational health & safety advising services to employers, supervisors and workers, including outreach, advising, reviewing and developing OHS Programs and Safety Management Systems, instructing training and education, developing resources, and being an internal technical subject matter expert to fellow team members’ projects.
We are looking for an experienced professional with a deep understanding of the occupational health & safety profession and the BC motion picture, film, television performing arts, and live events industry.
