Blended Learning Training Model as of January 1, 2016
In this combination of online aerial platform theory training and in-person practical assessment*, we aim to reduce the risks related to operating straight telescoping, articulated and scissor lift aerial platforms. The online theory training for aerial platform use was developed to comply with the requirements laid out by both CSA standards B354.2 and B354.4 as well as ANSI standards A92.5 and A92.6.
The online theory portion of the aerial platform training can be taken anytime from the comfort of your home or office. The course is approximately 90 minutes long and participants must get a mark of 80% to pass. Participants may repeat the course two times if a passing mark has not been achieved. If a passing mark is not achieved after three attempts, re-registration is required.
* The theory portion of the training MUST be completed BEFORE attending the in-person practical assessment. A separate email will be sent to you containing the account activation instructions to access this portion of your training.
Experienced operators must have a minimum of 40hrs of experience and attend one 4 hour practical assessment session. Course cost: $150 + gst.
Inexperienced operators with little to no experienced must attend two 4 hour practical assessment sessions. Course cost: $250 + gst.
