Propane Awareness for the Transportation of Dangerous Goods (for drivers and transport who have TDG)
Propane can be deadly. This course has been specifically designed for movie industry field personnel who are responsible for the handling, offering for transport and transporting of propane and liquefied petroleum gas transportation and storage of Transportation of Dangerous Goods Act and Regulations. This industry specific edition of the P•T•I 100-03 Training Course has been revised to reflect the most current federal and provincial regulatory requirements for the Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) and is based on the TDG Act 1992, TDG Regulations amended to include SOR/2008-34 (Amendment 6) and the CAN/CSA – B149.2 Propane Storage & Handling Code.
Propane Awareness
Learn to work safely with and around propane. This awareness course is designed for those responsible for coordinating, using and /or lighting propane fired heaters or other propane related equipment or vehicles. Learn about the appropriate use and associated risks of propane, including safe handling, storing, transporting and installation of propane cylinders as well as safe use of direct and indirect fired portable heaters. Learn how to keep yourself and others safe!

Live Performance Electrical Certificate – $50
The LPEC is an industry training credential that workers in the performing arts industry can obtain by taking an online exam. The test covers electrical work performed during the setup, run and strike of live events, to cable and maintain a lighting rig or set up audio visual or public address systems for live events and performances.
Applicants must demonstrate and document 800 hours of practical experience in their application to be eligible to write the test.

Aerial Platform for Experienced Participants – $120
Upon completion of the course the participant will have a good working knowledge of the particular family of equipment they are being trained on, as it relates to:
• Hazards, precautions, operating and emergency controls, and safety devices.
• Pre-start visual inspections.
• Inspection of the work place.
• Safe operation.
• WorkSafeBC regulations relating to the operation of the Self Elevating Work Program.
Aerial Platform for Inexperienced Participants – $220
This two-day training program is designed to meet the needs of individuals who have no experience operating an Aerial Platform. Once completed the operator will have the skills to become a proficient Aerial Platform operator.
Counterbalanced Forklift for Experienced Participants – $120
This training program is designed to meet the needs of the counterbalanced, sit-down, rider type lift truck operators, regardless of brand. The program addresses these issues:
• General lift truck fundamentals
• Principals of stability, balance and capacity
• The pre-operation inspection
• Safety guidelines for operating lift trucks
• Safe load handling techniques
• Fueling internal combustion powered lift trucks
• Charging/changing industrial batteries on electric powered trucks
Counterbalanced Forklift for Inexperienced Participants – $220
This two-day training program is designed to meet the needs of individuals who have minimal experience operating a counterbalanced lift truck. Once completed the operator will have the skills to become a proficient forklift operator.
Fall Protection Training – $65
